Monica's MT Removal
My lovable little runt Monica developed a mammary tumour. It was my first experience of such a thing and boy, is it terrifying how quick they grow. Monica's lump removal surgery was postponed due to respiratory infections but finally, she had the lump removed yesterday. I collected her today. She is looks a little shook but is eating well and generally happy with herself. She was delighted to be back with her buddies, visibly so! Here a few pictures for the curious. I never took a pre-op picture and even these don't show the wound properly but they give some idea.
Her current good side:
Sore side one
Sore side two
For such a little thing, Monica, or Mon Mon as we call her, is a real trooper!

Re: Monica's MT Removal
Update. Monica is doing great! The wound is healing nicely. She didn't worry the wound but did tidy up a tiny flap of skin with her teeth! She is done with metacam now but will still be on her baytril for a few more days. I am so happy to have no lumps around now although with 5 girls, I imagine I will be travelling for more removals in the not too distant future.
