Help!! Skinny baby rat.
I adopted 4 rats from my local Pets at Home on friday the 15th. Two of the four sneeze too much for it to be anything less than concerning. One in particular has had no interest in food and is getting skinnier and skinnier. Ive tried mushed banana and porridge so far but there is just no interest. She occasionally would lick water droplets off my finger and have a wee munch on a nugget but you can tell its not good.
Could it be stress from the rehoming? They had only been in the petshop a few days also, hardly time for them to adjust to the new living arrangements there, so they have been moved about a few times recently.
She is very sleepy and quiet and doesn't put up a fight like the others do if you try and lift her. Please anyone any tips for fattening them? I'd hate to loose this little one.
Shes the wee grey and white one, cant really tell how skinny she is until you lift her:
thanks!

Poor wee mite I ordered some 'Weight-Up Baby! Berry' from the rat warehouse. Vet visit is the next port of call. Shes was okay on the friday, more alert and was eating. Over the last few days she has just become less curious and interested in whats going on around her.
I think they must have been kept is a very dusty environment while they were very little. They were on dust free paper bedding in the petshop so im not sure.

Re: Help!! Skinny baby rat.
Complan is a miracle. It can be got from pharmacies and I saw some in Tesco the other day as well (near the vitamins). I have found baby food to also fit the bill. The rat warehouse has a formula called Weight up baby and rats love it but to be honest, feeding extras is just as good. Chicken on the bone, especially the skin is great too so if you have any left overs, your rats will be happy. I hope their respiratory issues are clearing up. Good luck!

Unfortunately the little one hasn't made it lost her on Thursday, the poor wee one. She was so sweet. She seemed like the runt of the litter perhaps? That teamed with the respiratory issues was too much for her. At least shes not suffering any more.
