fly spray. Empty fly spray.

So we've had a fly problem for a few weeks and fly papers & keeping the ratties clean hasn't worked so i'm opting for fly spray. How long will they need to be out of the room while it's sprayed? I'm thinking move them out first thing monday morning & spray and then move them back before we go to bed that night, will that be long enough? EDIT: it'll be 14/15hours.

Hmm - I really don't know! Much depends on the active ingredient I would think. I've used fly paper strips, which has worked OK. There are still a few around, but much less with the sticky strips. Try to avoid anything with premethrin (including the strips) it has been known to cause fitting.
