And one more...Rolestown Hall. It's just outside swords and I would imagine it's cheap as they hire out to drama groups etc. Andrew McLoughlin is the Chairman of the Rolestown Hall Committee and his telephone number is 01 8433 162
Let me know how you get one with them all...the boxing club still might be a good one

Re: Dublin show ideas?
Just phone Andrew at Rolestown, lovely chap, and positive about the whole thing. €25 per hour - so about €100 for the 4 hours we'd need (which we should be able to cover with activities, kitchens etc). I made it clear that we'd have small pets, and that they would only be out of cages and tanks for handling by judges. All seems fine, so I need to work out a date and get back to him!
Sooo...
How does everyone feel about a Sunday towards the end of September? It'll be very expensive for us, personally, so we need to do our best to make sure it's worthwhile and works out and that plenty of people turn up!!!

Re: Dublin show ideas?
Would it be a good idea to see if rabbit and guinea pig people would be interested? Would be great for it to become one of those yearly events that just gets bigger and bigger It would help with cost too? Or would it be better to keep it rat only?
Just throwing a few ideas out there

Well - first off we sort of need it to not be rat only, but not open it up to other parties yet because we don't know the venue (and these multifancy things can be very complicated from experience)
For now, it's a Rat Club event, and we will welcome any and all other small furries for a separate class Will discuss more as time goes on

Eeeek! I'm excited now! If I'm living in Dublin by then, I could probably bring three or four cages for the people coming on trains. Also, if anyone is any good at crafts, someone could even make a few hammocks to sell? How are we planning to bring in members of the public by the way?

Why can't you enter? :/
Will be advertising a little countrywide, but nothing too heavy. I think hammock/craft stalls would be a very good idea!

Exciting! I might make some hammocks.. I've only ever made rudimentary, barely any sewing hammies for my boys though, so we'll see how they turn out.

Re: Dublin show ideas?
Bah! We are *thinking* of trying to make it the weekend before the UK half term, if that is any help at all? As it would enable a few people to be able to come over for it, and generally make it easier!
