Hi all!
I've just started up a very small scale rattie rescue. i'm gonna start off with just a few rats at a time, then maybe as time goes on expand. I know I'm only a youngin, only 17, but I've already got a fair bit of experience with rescue so I'm hoping I'll be ok! So far I've only got a facebook, but will try and setup a website soon enough. I'd love if everyone that's on facebook could give it a like!
I know there's so many people in the rattie community who already take in unwanted rats, and if the facebook can be any use let me know. XD This also means I'll be putting a stop to petshop rats for good now. I've had a few slip ups over the past while, my newest rat was actually given to me for free because the petshop owner felt sorry for me because I'd come in to play with the rats to make myself feel better after my heart rat Bea was put down! Cry Laugh But even free rats are going to be turned down. Will be tough, but I feel like if I'm calling myself a 'rescue' there is no way I can condone petshop buying.
I even hate calling it a rescue - so many people on the forum have done so much more than me for rats.. >< i feel guilty!
I'd love if everyone that's on facebook could give it a like, and if anyone has any helpful information re keeping information of adopters on my computer, or running the facebook page it'd be much appreciated! Here is the link! Smile https://www.facebook.com/BeasRatRescue?ref=hl

Ahh - congrats! Smile I think it's a good step - especially if it stops you supporting petshops Tongue Kiss

Oh, would be so good to meet you! Big Grin Definetly do try to pop down, you'll get to meet some of the doggies in foster care and some adopted great hounds in need dogs too.
