Looking to buy a pet rat
Hi all! I'm new here!
I've moved to Cork and am looking to keep a fancy rat or two as a pet. I'm not sure where to start looking.
Is there anyone here that's selling? I'd prefer to get them young (between 4 and 8 weeks old). If not, does anyone know of any good pet shops? I'd prefer not to go to a pet shop, but donedeal and other sites aren't much of a help to me, since most people selling live in Dublin. (I don't have a car, unfortunately.)
I'm also looking to find a cage and accessories along with the rats.
I'm looking forward to getting to know this community. I've just discovered the irish rat club, and would love to learn more about rats and become part of the discussion. I think fancy rats are just the most adorable things
Thanks to anyone who can help!

Re: Looking to buy a pet rat
Thanks! Do you know how I could get in contact with Laura?
I was thinking of getting two as well - probably two females preferably. I decided it was finally time to get a pet that's not boring like a fish or rabbit. I need a pet that's interactive. Usually, I own dogs, but because I've been moving around so much (between countries), I can't do that to a dog. It'd be cruel. Since I plan on staying here for about 3 more years, I thought a rat would be perfect.
Thanks for the tip!

Hi Morgan, you can send me an email on zoundzy@hotmail.com and I'll send you our application form. Since you're local enough, you are welcome to come and visit us. We won't have babies for a while though, as we only have a few litters a year, so there is a waiting list.
