NFRS Clevedon

~Anyone potentially up for a trip to NFRS Clevedon show in March? Bit short notice I know. I *might* be able to sort us out somewhere in Wales to stay - and it's not toooo far from there. Just thought I'd ask and see if anyone wanted to make the trip over?

As long as they're clean, healthy and friendly put them in the pet class.

Or just don't take any rats at all and just have a fun day meeting lots of ratty people and oggling over the rats in the show.

And now I've started this thread I don't know if I can go as I have a seminar to prepare on the 15th! DAMMIT!!!

We need to go through some show calendars here and work out a show we can all get to. If someone is able to drive, we can make up a car full. If it's in Yorkshire or near enough to South Wales, I should hopefully be able to arrange sleeping quarters. I think a maximum of 4 of us would be about right, so as not to overdo it on whoever we're staying with, and preferably one of those people able to drive? hehe...

Erm... there's some YRC shows coming up... There's Bradford Champs on the 28th of this month - too short notice perhaps? Boscombe Down is do-able from Wales and is on the 25th February. Then in May there's the Cardiff show...

Boscombe's a good one as well as that's one of the shows I can get to.

Well Laura you know the two of us are up for going over if we can at all,and we would have room for you and Karl of course so let me know what you are serious about and we'l try make it happen!

I'm serious alright! Karl won't be able to come over as he'll be looking after our rats (for that matter, if needed, your guys could come to our place while we were all over at a show, and Karl would mind them too We just need a fourth person to cut costs a little!

Now we need to pick a show! I'm presuming Bradford is too short notice? But it's a good one as it's a multifancy show, so there's LOADS to see and do there (and we can stay with my in-laws!)

There's Boscombe Down after that, which is do-able from Wales, but a bit of a trek. That's 25th February. We can probably stay with my gran or aunt if we did that. Bradford would be easier in terms of places to stay I think... but it's very very soon!

Just so you know though, Bradford is out of my travel range so I wouldn't be able to meet any of you guys.

Also, would it help if I mentioned that the Boscombe Down venue has a bar?

Boscombe is a fab show, one I've loved in the past <3 and yes, epic bar! Remember when we were judging pets there Lew? it was you and Nic helping me wasn't it? Or was it me and you helping Nic? Long time ago now!

Would love to do Bozzy again if anyone thinks that's more feasible! Would be lovely to see me old pal Lew again too <3

So how's Boscombe Down looking then? I'm definitely going to that one. I might be able to do Clevedon at a push (and that might be a good one for you Laura as Nic is judging at that one).

I don't know if either is overly possible will keep trying to look into it, but I think probably not, unless I can get others to go and give me a lift because Karl would have to stay here with the animals. We are very likely doing Cardiff - but I know that's a huge trek for you

Ooooh seminar! Would that be a ratty seminar?

I'd love to go but up the walls in school. Will hopefully make it to one in the summer.

Bear in mind that August and July tend to be non showing months due to the heat potential for the rats. I'm still hoping we can have a show here soon!
