Three new boys! Empty Three new boys!

Post by siofradh Sun Mar 11, 2012 11:51 pm

The three rescue boys are now with me! Smile I can't get over their size! I'm actually typing one handed right now cos I just got a nasty bite off the fat grey and white one Laugh Laugh It's not just me he's bullying, it's the black and the white one aswell. White's got a bit of blood on his side, and black's got a bloody toe too! I'm at a loss on what to do, because I'm so used to my sweet little girls and haven't yet had any trouble from them Laugh Love So any advice would be greatly appreciated Grin

They're very pretty Smile I don't have any advice about the biting. How long have they been together? Maybe it's because they're in a new environment and he's just a bit over dominant? As for biting you I would advise a lot of handling, maybe with gloves, if he's really bad, to start with.

I'm not so sure how long they've been together. For a while anyway since they were in foster together. I'd say it's just the new environment, either that or he was showing off infront of the ladies Wink Laugh Laugh I'll buy a pair of garden gloves tomorrow just as a precaution Embarrassed

I would just take it slowly. Sounds like they're probably OK but maybe they were just stressed with such a major change. Some buck can be like that.

Yep, I think I'm just gonna put it down to stress.. There's been no fighting since this afternoon, and they're all sleeping together now so here's hoping they're settling in well!
Could someone also tell me what the creamy fella is? I've been just called him cream for now. I've named them Bosco, Ludo, and Bruiser Laugh Laugh

He's buff. Smile Sooo you have a black roan, a black (berkshire looking at his white feet) and a Buff (possible berkshire again if he has a white tummy and white feet)

ahh interesting Grin can he still be a black berkshire if he's got a bit of white on him? he's got a little diamond of white on him tummy. so does this mean the grey and white one will get darker? sorry for all the questions Laugh

Berkshire means the white markings. If he had no white he'd be a black, with the white it makes him something else, either Irish, Hooded or Berkshire (for examples, there are others too Smile)

The roan will get whiter, not darker Smile
