Bongo Fury Rubber Dolphin :*(

I came home last night to find Johnny - my lovely one year old Russian Silver Agouti Satin boy, dead in his cage. Just like Jack and Salty... :*( he was such a wonderful boy, one of my very special lads - we love them all of course, but some are extra special, and Johnny was just my baby. I will miss him so much, and so will his brother Obi and his cagemate Captain.

Johnny was a quiet, friendly, unassuming fellow. He always had a smile and a kiss for everyone <3 and never had a grumpy moment. All three of the boys in that cage are/were the same, just so outgoing and friendly, total PR rats, and a cage everyone wanted to greet when they visit us. Johnny was a beautiful lad - visibly different from Obi, who was a standard Russian Silver Agouti. Johnny was yellower, greasier looking, with a slightly wavy coat.

He had a real scare when he was younger, a polyp or burst bloodvessel in the nose, or something... and every time he sneezed he would bleed. We were sure we'd lose him, he went chalk white and very lethargic, but we kept on persevering with him, and kept him in the house on a heat mat, lots of nice foods and gentle cuddles, and after about 4 weeks he was very much back to normal. He never had another problem with it, and went on to develop into a lovely boy, big, chunky and full of life... I am just so angry and hurt to lose him now, like this, after all he fought against.

So sorry to hear...

Every time I see another obituary, it reminds me of my own boy Jack, who we still miss so much.

It must be hard to lose 2 so shortly after each other

he was so loved x and he knew it xxx wish i could help in some way x
