As some of you may know i have been thinking alot about breeding and what type of rat i would Love to breed hooded rats and get good rats from good genitic jeans. I have been looking on many sites and for information on rat breeding some i find quite skeptical. i did find this site i was wondering If the information is correct?http://www.80stoysale.com/ratbreeding.html#prebreeding

I ask this as i want to make sure i do things right. My plan is to do this in a few years time so i will have all my information and money to put towards any costs involved. I will also register as a breeder too. I love rats and i don't want to be a bad breeder and get things wrong.

I have ordered some books that might help me. I will see when they come in and after i read them i will post up the titles, In case someone is interested.

If you're interested in breeding I'd recommend joining the NFRS as you'll get access to their forum which is a goldmine of information.

That's an American website, so much of the information doesn't apply to us here. I am always here for advice if people actually ask me for it - but it's best done by e-mail. Definitely register with the NFRS as soon as you can if you want to find out anything worth knowing! Wink
