Nice reaction to rats

My grandmother came to stay over Christmas and was very smitten with the rats. She said she hadn't imagined they would be so nice and friendly and soft, she thought 'they weren't like rats at all' and was telling all my family that cam to visit that it is only prejudice against them that makes people not like them - honestly this was all off the top of her head, I didn't give her a speech or anything.

She took a special shine to Forz and even told me to make sure I look after him . When she left she told me she was converted to rats as pets and that I might find she had a couple herself one day. I don't think that's so likely because she's nearly 90 and the weekly cleanout might be a bit much for her

Aw how lovely! And what lovely photos! Forz looks to be enjoying the cuddle. It's always a pleasure to hear of a positive reaction to rats. It doesn't happen often enough, most people just don't give rats a chance. And what a lovely story of someone who did! All it takes is to pick one up!

Thanks She is a lovely lady, I'm very fond of her. And yes Forz is a charmer though he can't beat Noodles in flirting with the laydees

I wish my grandmother reacted that way to my rats. She's never met them in person, and every time we chatted on the phone when she asked me about the rats she would have these 'lovely' suggestions on what I could do with them.

Such lovely pictures my great aunt is the same way. When I was in between flats last summer my rats came home and lived with me in my parent's house and she couldn't contain her excitement when she came to visit.

How cool is that the last two vet visits I had with my guys,we got the most positive reactions to the rats we often get one or two,but we got loads.we had a teen come up to us,really open minded nd asking intelligent questions and of course Nibblet was on her cutest friendliest behaviour the same day,the receptionist was fawning all over them,and they made three more friends in the waiting room people who asked loads of questions and loads of compliments and we went again on Tuesday this week and they made 3 new friends-the receptionist even took pics for Facebook page so must send her some good ones :-)
