Pixie bleeding Empty Pixie bleeding

OK so Eoghan came down this morning to find Pixie with blood around her genitals.nothing else around the cage except for one little dot where she had been lying down but we do use shavings so there may be some hidden.we cleaned her,and I can't see a wound but couldn't get a proper look as she was very stressed out when we tried to have a proper look.is was dark and looked thick, like it was coagulating?that was in the last hour and haven't noticed any new blood since then but will keep an eye on her, have her in the small cage on kitchen towl at the mo,thought shed appreciate a break from the babies but think she's actually missing them so will pop them in with her in a bit...she's been scrapping with the babies lately, only in with them since last week so I'm hoping against hope its a little scratch somewhere and not coming from her womb Sad

Sad god all my fingers crossed it's just a scrapping wound. The fact she doesn't want you to touch it might be a good sign becuse if it hurts there it's not coming from her womb I should imagine.

I hope shes okay! Well wishes.

I found some blood on Edith earlier and got worried, cos they've been scrapping a lot.
Turned out she'd got it off me. Lol. Oops.

Haven't seen any blood for quite a few hours now,but obviously she could be cleaning herself before I can get to her so I'm going to keep an eye on her and make an appointment anyway, poor thing is being badgered by the younger girls at the moment Roll Eyes

Synulox is OK - precautionary though, as it does sound like it could be a scratch, fingers crossed. We don't really see much in the way of pyo in our lot, so it would be more likely I think, that she'd have potentially caught infection from one of the other girls who'd had similar. That's worse case scenario though, and I don't think it likely, I suspect a scratch at play.
