Hemp seed in diet Empty Hemp seed in diet

does anyone on the forum mix into the rat mix hemp seed? i hear it very good for birds during breeding season and helps to give them nice shiney plumage but would it help rats keep a nice shiney coat?

I'm not sure to be honest, we sometimes have a small amount in kitten mixes, but I don't use it all the time myself, as like all seeds, they're a bit fattening, and my guys are porky enough without! XD
