It's with a heavy heart that I write this for Parker... he was too young, and too happy, fit and lovely...

Parker was a wonderful boy - and the last of the three gorgeous Russian Blue Agouti triplets I kept from Patch's litter. The other two lovely boys, Jack and Salty passed away a long time back, from the odd illness/virus that we had here. It seemed to affect Parker, but he recovered and went back to normal but for some nasal snottiness. So, it was a bit of a shock to find him gone the day before yesterday. He was still so happy and active and fit seeming.

I will miss him greatly, he was a rat of huge character, and I must admit to also being heartbroken that we now have no Russian Blue Agouti bucks left here Sad and we've always had them, one of the keepers from our first Russian Silver Agouti litter, our 3rd litter overall, Ape, was our first, and we've had a long line of them here since... and I will miss them all so much... losing Parker's like losing a piece of the rattery somehow.

Anyway - he was a lovely boy, and I'm sure others will remember him, especially since he was rather famous for flinging himself through the cage door the second you opened it! Everything he did was done with glee and enthusiasm - and he was a fabulous friend <3

Run free my lovely boy, go and find your brothers...

For him - Frank Sinatra - My Way <3

And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend I'll say it clear
I'll state my case of which I'm certain

I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Regrets I've had a few
But then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption

I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Yes there were times I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out, I faced it all
And I stood tall and did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now as tears subside
I find it all so amusing

To think I did all that
And may I say not in a shy way
Oh no, oh no, not me
I did it my way

For what is a man what has he got
If not himself then he has not
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

Yes it was my way

When I met this chap at the Christmas show, I was so taken by his gorgeous coat, the likes of which I had never seen before. He was just beautiful and smelled fantastic. I think I stuck him in my face and inhaled a few times. He was one lovely rat!
