Bongo Fury Babette Baboon :(

My lovely British Blue girl Babs has gone :*( Found her curled up quite peacefully - so at least she didn't suffer at all. The last few days she's had a growth in her tummy, I was pretty sure it was a tumour, and I had toyed with having her put to sleep, but she seemed happy in herself, moving around very well and still eating, coming for cuddles... generally seemed OK. I was expecting to have to have her put to sleep when it got too big for her to cope, but she beat me to it :*(

Babs was a gorgeous girl, and far too young really to go like this - she was a fit healthy girl except for this mass . We never bred from her, which is something of a shame, because she had such a wonderful nature, and was otherwise fit, but in some ways now I'm glad we didn't because of this.

Babs was a sweet girl, very gentle natured. She had a really sweet disposition, and though she was more of a ratty rat, she still enjoyed a cuddle. She would always come to see you, but then after saying hi would potter off to find other rats - never was much into people attention :*) My beautiful blue girl... one of my favourite ratty photos is of her too. I don't know what I'll do without her, she was such a special girl her sister Tiggy and cagemate Roda will be missing her too.

Run free gorgeous girl - you were too good for this cruel old world.
