Hi everyone, I am looking for a good home for my three girls - two sisters Tosia and Lidka (1 year of age), and rehomed Dot (2 years old). I am going abroad and unfortunately I cannot take them with me. Sad Girls are in good health condition. They are really sweet and smart.
I will also give a huge and fully equipped cage (plus travel cage, both for free).
I hope that someone will be albe to give them a loving home.
If anyone would like to additional information or pictures, feel free to ask.

PS. I live in Limerick.

Awh, that's sad ):
You should post if you're able to travel and how far so people know.
And maybe some pictures.

Hi there, I'm really sorry you have to rehome your rats Sad it mustn't be easy for you. When are you moving? I could foster your girls for you if you have a time limit, but I'd have to wait until I move on two foster rabbits I have. Of course you could stay involved in the rehoming process and I could clear everything by you. Best of luck Smile

Likewise, if a foster is needed, I can do this too. We're Cork based.

Hi Rixa,

I am in Limerick too and I am looking for a little lady to join the family. Smile I have two girls (sisters) who are about 15-16 months. Maybe Dot would be a good match. (Zounds what do you think?) I am at home for mid-term this week and next week so it is the perfect opportunity to introduce Dot to my girls.

Also I go up and down to Cork twice a week for college so if Tosia and Lidka were going to Zoundz for fostering and rehoming, I could get them most of the way there in about two weeks' time.

That does sound like it'd be a pretty good idea actually Smile I think dot would do well with your older girls - but if she's well bonded with the rats she's with now, it may not be fair to split them.

This isn't a good idea in my opinion because Dot is veeery old and to be honest she's about to die. Maybe she won't make it until changing her home, maybe she'll die after 2 weeks, maybe after 2 months, dont know really. I'm sure she's over 2 yrs of age though.

@limerickrats: I'd give you a huge cage (100x50x80cm) with the the rats so maybe this fact will convince you Grin I really wouldn't separate them at their age. If nothing else workes out they'll go back home, i mean Zoundz rattery, where they were taken from a yr ago Smile We'll see, we have about 3 weeks to deal with that matter.

I'll post some pics of the cage and girls later on.

I'd agree with Rixa, i'd not separate them if they've been together a while, especially since Dot is old.
I'd love to take them, but timing just isn't right with the possibility of me going away for a few months over summer. ):
Hopefully someone else will be keen and if not i'm sure Zoundz will foster/rehome them for you.

I think you are right everyone, I did not think of the impact of separating Dot from the two younger girls.

Rixa, offer to foster them all still stands, if needed. Smile

Since I bred these two girls it is in my contract that they come back to me. How you arrange this is up to you, but I will not be happy if they are rehomed - I expect them to come back here. If anyone does rehome these, can we make arrangements to get them back at once, as it is in our contract, and I do *not* like or allow rats we've bred to be rehomed. I would far rather that you had contacted me about this in the first instance, but now I have heard from Andrzej at least. I understand people's reasons for rehoming frequently, and I'm not an ogre, but I do *insist* that they come back here.
