Good vibes needed please :(
Went to check on the babies today and had a shock... Don wasn't moving much. Still don't know what's wrong with him, he was OK yesterday! I suspect either a fall or very quick onset of pneumonia he's really bad though and not moving much, but not suffering, he is really dehydrated though. Have just gotten a load of honey water into him and given him some pain relief... hopefully he'll be OK if I can get him to drink, keep him warm. I know from experience palliative care is about all I can do. Then I looked over and thought Babs didn't look right... I felt her over, bearing in mind yesterday as well she seemed fine too... and discovered that she has a mass in her stomach area. Could be stomach problems again, in which case I'm really getting worried now, and will be taking steps. If when she passes away it turns out to be stomach problems, I want our water tested etc. Certainly, I'll probably send her for testing and see if they can work anything out. Hopefully it's just a tumour or a pyo or something similar - as nasty as that is, it's better than more weird stomach stuff but my poor girl, she's so wonderful... :*( she's had pain relief also and antibiotics, though unless it's a pyo they'll not be much use I'd imagine.
And of course, Daffy (my absolute heart rat) currently has a massive Zymbals Gland Tumour - first I've seen in our rats :*( so I'm breaking my heart over her. There's nothing I can do, and it looks awful, but she's happy and bouncing about at least.
Ugh. Feel like poo.
xx
