@smokierat - they are only about ten weeks old and still very nervous when free roaming in the house. I used have all females before and bought the two boys to see if they were much different in temperament

Yeah, they could be but they are from a litter of hoodies - I know their father was a hooded rat since I owned one of his sisters, and he mated with a female hoodie brought in from the UK - all of their other siblings had typical hoodie markings which is why I picked the two oddballs of the litter. Sheldon sits on my head while I watch TV - Leonard prefers the armpit of my jumper.

Oh wow, I just spotted all the rat smilies....

Night all Wink

Hooded and Berkshire are both caused by the same gene so it's easy to get berries and hoodies in the same litter. The blaze on the other one is what makes me think he's a striped roan. He's either that or a very heavily mis-marked blazed Berkshire. If his colour starts to fade with each moult you'll know he's a roan. I'd need to see more photos to tell better.

Awh they're beautiful. I remember when my two boys were that size... Now they're two big cuddly softies Smile. I had a hooded rat a while back. Lovely temperment but he was quite jumpy for the first while too Grin
