More pics of Jack, Ted and the girls

Bikerwitch, my partner, made some pics while I was messing around with Jack.

Jack is one mad rat, just gotta love that furry ball of nuttiness

His mad fun loving energy is what lets him getting away with murder and secretly he is my favorite

I just hope all this attention doesn't go to his head!

Jack is sheer determination, even belly tickling does not stop him destroying the feathery evil thing




While all this goes on, the girls don't understand the fuss and continue their afternoon nap (they prefer free ranging in the evening)



But after some gratifying destruction, even Jack is ready for a nap and Ted makes a nice fluffy pillow

Lovely photos Thanks for sharing. Mine only get a few minutes with the feathery toys to save on faethery toy bills - I'm a mean mamma, I love that you buy them in in bulk

We get them in the euroshop. since they have feathers on both ends, we just cut them in half, so makes a 50 cent toy, making it 10 cents per destruction minute.
But you know how it goes with us rat owners.... we eat the generic Tesco brand pasta while the ratties get the whole grain macrobiotic stuff from M&S

Wonderful pics of fun and play. A great way to tire them out, giving you some quiet time!! I just wonder is it ok to use real or natural feathers, seagulls, crows feathers? to play with? Rats and feathers are a good mix, love the commentary with the photos. Steve

You could use natural feathers I suppose, but freeze them first to get rid of any nasty mites/bugs, and maybe soak them in salt water and dry them too, to kill and other nasty stuff.

We mostly end up with cat toys for the ratties, however, the time we got a wind-up chaser mouse for them wasn't a big succes.

When I wound it up and let it race across the floor, they all took cover and all you could see were little noses perking from under the couch to see when the coast was clear.

A few days later, the wind-up mouse went missing and I found it behind the chair, with its weels expertly removed

Yesterday, bikerwitch and myself passed a toyshop and as ee kep our eyes open for toddler toys (being pretty much chew safe) we saw a big playcastle for 50% off.. so plan is to get it as we are sure they will love to explore and climb in and we will hide treats it the dungeon and the towers (and may stop climbing the book case and tossing the books out)

It seems pretty sturdy and easy to clean (as you can take it all apart)

I promise we put some pics up once we get it.

Oh I've been looking for something like that playhouse...
